Women’s Major League Indoor Soccer Welcomes Phoenix

Chicago, Illinois (July 15, 2025) — Phoenix Pulse FC is officially joining Women’s Major League Indoor Soccer (WMLIS) for the 2025-26 season. This announcement follows closely on the heels of Utah Uprising’s recent addition to the league.

Aly Moon, team owner, told Major League Indoor Soccer (MLIS) that the organization saw WMLIS as an opportunity to bring a team to an area with untapped female talent.

“Being able to be a part of the league’s growth and create more opportunities for female soccer players is something I’m truly passionate about,” she added. “I’m excited to contribute to expanding the possibilities for women in this sport.”

Moon grew up in Orange County, Calif., and spent the majority of her club soccer career at Legends FC, a premier soccer club in Southern California, before attending Arizona State University to play collegiately. Her career ended unexpectedly due to a medical injury, but her passion for the sport remained.

“I've always felt the desire to get involved in professional soccer in some capacity,” Moon said. “For the past two years, I’ve been coaching youth soccer, which has allowed me to stay closely connected to the game. When the opportunity arose to transition into professional soccer here in Phoenix, it felt like the perfect moment to jump in and help grow the sport.”

Moon said the organization’s goal this year is to create strong buzz around women’s professional indoor soccer in the Valley, noting that Phoenix is becoming a hub for soccer talent.

“It’s important to me that the team is deeply rooted in the community, with an environment on and off the field driven by excellence,” she said. “Phoenix has an amazing soccer culture, and I’m excited to cultivate and build on that, especially on the women’s side of the game. There’s a lot of potential, and I look forward to seeing the team become an integral part of the city’s sports landscape.”

The team is currently exploring venue options and will announce details soon. Moon emphasized that while the goal is to become a top contender in the league, the larger mission is to foster a strong fan base and build a lasting legacy for women’s indoor soccer in Phoenix.

“The foundation of this team will be about more than just soccer, it’s about creating a space where athletes are empowered and the community is engaged,” Moon said. “We want to build a team that is known not only for its excellence on the field, but also for its authentic commitment to positively impacting the Valley.”
